He graduated from the Faculty of Technology of High-Molecular Compounds of the Dnepropetrovsk Chemical-Technological Institute in 1973.

Since 1976, junior, then senior research fellow of the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Since 1977, assistant of the Department of chemical engineering.

In 1983, he defended his PhD thesis at the Riga Polytechnic University, Riga, Latvia.

Since 1985, assistant professor of chemical engineering department.

From 1986 to 2011, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanics.

From 2000 to present, the head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, which in 2014 was renamed the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Mechanics.

In 2015, he was awarded the title “Professor”.

Scientificly works on the development and research of composite materials on the basis of heat-resistant, high-strength polymers of tribotechnical purposes.

The author of more than 260 scientific works, including four textbooks and monographs, and 30 patents and inventions.
