PHILOSOPHICAL AND DISCUSSION CLUB “SOCRATES AND WE”

This club was formed in 2000. Its ideas were proposed by prof. HA. Zaichenko and teacher V.A. Object. Since then, the leaders of this case were – V.A. Objects, O.M. Патерило, О.М. Zaiets. Active participation in the work of the club is accepted by all teachers of the department.

The Socrates and We Philosophical Discussion Club performs for students what can not be a normal learning process, although students study a range of humanities and socio-political disciplines. But it is precisely in the process of studying these subjects that students suddenly realize that they have a desire to know more about some interesting topics for them, to consider them more comprehensively and deeply and in a way to substantiate this view in the process of discussion, frank and interested conversation with people who have their own position, their views on important and interesting things in modern life. It is such an interesting discussion, where the participants are simultaneously the interlocutors, who defend and substantiate their positions, respect each other and respect the views of others. And this is one of the principles of the club “Socrates and We,” because Socrates himself professed this principle of an interested conversation-dispute in his Mayevitch. The club meets on the third Wednesday of each month, except January and June.
