The Ukrainian State University of Chemistry and Technology took second place in the Triple E awards competition

Starting in 2020, the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities (ACEEU) is running a competition for the prize Triple E awards is a global recognition of efforts aimed at entrepreneurship and engagement in higher education. This is the first award to focus on different dimensions of the third mission of universities. Implemented at the regional level, the Triple E Awards aim to promote change in universities and highlight their role in their communities and ecosystems.

This year, the contest took place in several nominations and regions of the world, including the nomination of the Initiative of the Year related to the Sustainable Development Goals. That is why Prof. H. Ratnavira (Norges miljø- og biovitenskapelige universitet), who is the brainchild, organizer and main coordinator of a series of projects related to water issues, it was decided to participate in this competition with the Water Harmony Global Initiative. Over the past 12 years, this initiative has united more than 100 universities and organizations from 53 countries of the world (Water Harmony), including our university, who throughout the entire time took an active part in the formation and development of this initiative, and the professor of the department inorganic substances and ecology Smotraev R .IN. was the constant coordinator of two phases of the Water Harmony project.

Water Harmony Global Initiative was selected by an expert committee and among five other initiatives made it to the finals of the Triple E awards competition. Hotelschool The Hague (Netherlands), Ulster University Business School (Great Britain), Manchester Metropolitan University (Great Britain), EHL Group (Switzerland). In the finals, the finalists were evaluated by an expert committee and, taking into account the results of voting for each initiative, the places occupied by the finalists were determined. So, Water Harmony Global Initiative took second place! This is a worthy result and the university congratulates Prof. H. Ratnavir and all participants of the series of projects that unites the Water Harmony Global Initiative, with the honor received and wishes for the development of this definitely important initiative both for Ukraine and for the whole world!
