TEACHERS’ SMART UP COURSE: SUMMER EDITION FROM IT COMPANY SIGMA SOFTWARE

The TEACHERS’ SMART UP: SUMMER EDITION course from the IT company Sigma Software (with the participation of the IT Ukraine Association) was created for teachers of technical specialties , who want to navigate the modern features of the world of information technologies and strive to apply new approaches in the formation of educational programs. During the week, the course participants, among whom were representatives of the IS department, associate professors O.A. Lyashenko, N.O.Solodka and experts from the Sigma Software company, discussed with trends and changes in the world of information technologies.

During training, practical skills were acquired in the development and planning of educational products (courses and programs); a clear understanding of the necessary qualifications of an IT beginner for successful career growth is formulated; the trends in the top IT fields are defined, which, from the point of view of the employer, should be included in the organization of work with students in the 2022-2023 academic year. The combination of online meetings and practical independent work aimed to implement the acquired knowledge in the updating of educational programs and provide an opportunity to prepare for the start of the new academic year.

Also, the result of participation in the program was the expansion of professional networking, namely personal acquaintance with representatives of the Sigma Software company and reaching agreements on further cooperation within the framework of the partnership between the University and the Sigma Software company, which involves reviewing educational programs, holding master classes with mentors company, passing of pre-diploma internships by students of the department on the basis of the company and much more in the plans.
