On October 27, 2023, the I International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Science in the Age of Socio-Cultural Changes: Realities and Prospects” was held in a remote format at the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic” >.

Students of specialties 014 Secondary Education and 035 Philology of the Faculty of Economic and Humanities and Law of the Ukrainian State University of Chemistry and Technology joined the discussion of current problems and achievements of philological science. Yes, female students of 2SO(y) Bohdana Davydova and Veronika Samofal presented their scientific reflections on the topic “The meaning of phraseological units with the lexeme spirit“.

The students were especially active. 1ST(y): Kateryna Shumovich presented the report “Features of improving speech culture”, Elizaveta Yemelyanova – report “Accent and its role in the modern Ukrainian language”, Diana Zabolotnia – report “Typical grammatical errors in the Ukrainian language”, Kateryna Klymenko – report “Typical lexical errors in the Ukrainian language”.

Phil group 2 students Alina Subotina and Alina Gordienko took part in the work of the translation studies section. They prepared theses on the topics “Translation equivalence and ways to achieve it” (Alina Gordienko) and “Methods of intertextuality translation” (Alina Subotina). Senior year students, group 4 of FIL, also contributed and participated in the conference with theses on “Abbreviation and reduction in the English language” (Alona Lysenko) and “Pragmatics in translation” (Daniil Ogienko).
