On December 12, 2024, at a meeting of the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State Chemical and Technological University” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, the awarding of employees for the high level of academic activity and effectiveness of scientific activity and the winners of the 1st round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in fields of knowledge and specialties and the winners of the 1st stage of the 24th International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yatsyk in the 2023/2024 academic year and their leaders was held.

In order to support gifted student youth, create conditions for their creative growth, and activate the scientific and research work of university students in the 2023/2024 academic year, the 1st round of the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works in fields of knowledge and specialties was held. During the 1st round of the Competition, competition commissions and organizing committees worked in the relevant fields of knowledge and specialties. According to the minutes of the meeting of the competition commissions of the departments the winners are presented on the university website in the following specialties:

• 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering (Departments of TNR and E, TPP and PM; F and TOR; KhTKS and BM, AH and KhTKD and KZ);
• 101 Ecology;
• 102 Chemistry;
• 174 Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics;
• 175 Information and Measurement Technologies;
• 121 Software Engineering;
• 122 Computer Science;
• 263 Civil Security;
• 051 Economics;
• 075 Marketing;
• 034 Cultural Studies.

The range of student scientific and technical research was impressive in its diversity. Most of the research works were distinguished by modern research methods.

In total in the I round of the Competition participated 12 departments in 11 specialties: departments: BT and BZhD; KIT and A; IS; NH; PV and TPE; Men and F; MR and L; TNR and E; HTKS and BM; F and TOR; TPP and PM; AH and KhTHD and KZ (43 students participated, including 36 winners: Diploma I degree – 9; Diploma II degree – 14; Diploma III degree – 13).

In the XXIV International Ukrainian Language Competition named after Petro Yaczyka, 40 participants participated (first stage 10.11.2023).

Winners of the competition: I place – Gonsirovska B. (gr.3-KHDK-37); II place – Goldfarb M. (gr.3-KHDK-37); Davydova B. (gr.2-СОу), III place – Smelova M. (gr.1-БМИ-51).

Scientific advisor – Professor of the Department of Philology and Translation, Doctor of Philological Sciences Kulakevych Lyudmila Mykolaivna.
