War makes adjustments in all spheres of life, and science is no exception. Today, it is becoming not only a sphere of intellectual activity, but also a powerful tool for the protection and restoration of the country. On May 31, 2024, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Academy of Economic Sciences, Nataliya Fedorova told the Open TV channel about the prospects for the development of science in Ukraine during wartime.

Ukrainian scientists do not give up before the challenges of war. They are actively working on the development of innovations that are of crucial importance for the country’s defense capability.

The priority areas of scientific research are:

• Military technologies: Ukraine, having a powerful IT technology sector, actively uses it for cyber defense, cyber security and conducting cyber operations.
• Medical innovations: New methods of surgery, traumatology, prosthetics and rehabilitation are being developed to help save people’s lives and improve their health after injuries .
• Rebuilding infrastructure: Scientific developments can help quickly and efficiently rebuild war-torn cities, roads, bridges and other facilities.

Science is the key to a successful future of Ukraine!

The support of science by the state and society will allow not only to overcome the consequences of the war, but also to build a strong and prosperous country.
