Oleh Petrovych Mysov

Head of the Department, associate professor, candidate of technical sciences

 In 1972, he graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, specializing in Automation and Telemechanics, and received a qualification as an electrical engineer.

In 1994, at the Ukrainian Chemical Technology University (Dnipropetrovsk), he defended a dissertation for a Candidate of Technical Sciences degree on the topic “Plasma-chemical process of production of zinc oxide-based material for high-nylon ceramics” in the direction 05.17.01 – Technology of inorganic substances. The scientific supervisor was Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances of the Ukrainian Chemical Technology University V.D. Parkhomenko. In 2003, he was awarded the title of associate professor of the department of automation of production processes.

From September 2000 to 2016, he was the head of the Department of computer-integrated technology and metrology, and since 2018 he has been the head of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies and Automation.

Publications:  is the author and co-author of more than 50 scientific publications published in the leading international and domestic professional editions, 15 certificates of authorship and patents, 2 textbooks, more than 30 educational and methodical publications, participation and publication of abstracts in 15 conferences.

In 1971, Valerii Ivanovych Korsun graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Dnieper National (then – Dnepropetrovsk State) University with a degree in automatic control systems, obtaining the qualification of an electrical engineer, and entered the full-time graduate school of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of this university (since 1972 – mathematical) cybernetics.

In 1977, in the specialized scientific council of the Sevastopol instrument-making Institute Valerii Ivanovych Korsun defended his dissertation on the topic “Development and research of methods of adaptive identification of control objects“, specialty Technical Cybernetics and Information Theory.

In 1999, he defended his doctoral dissertation on “Methods and systems of adaptive identification and control of technological processes using the principles of symmetry” in the specialized scientific council of Kharkiv National (at that time – state) University of Radio Electronics, specialty Control Systems and Processes.

In 1982, he was awarded the academic title of associate professor at the Department of “Applied Mathematics and Technical Cybernetics”, and in 2002 – the academic title of professor at the Department of “Systems Analysis and Management”.

Valerii I. Korsun has worked in the following positions:

  • Junior and senior researcher of SRS of Dnipropetrovsk State University (from 01.09.1974 – to 05.05.1978);
  • Assistant of the Department of Fundamentals of Automation of Dnipropetrovsk Institute of Chemical Technology (from 06.05.1978 – to 15.12.1979);
  • Associate Professor of “Applied Mathematics and Technical Cybernetics” and “Management in Technical Systems” of the Dnepropetrovsk Mining Institute (from 16.12.1979 – to 31.08.2000);
  • Acting Head of the Department, which was called “Applied Mathematics and Technical Cybernetics” (from 01.03.1985 – to 25.05.1985)
  • Professor of the department “Management in Technical Systems” (from 01.09.1995 – to 31.08.1997);
  • Head of the department, which at different times had the names: “electrical engineering”, “electrical engineering and metrology”, “metrology and information and measurement technologies” (from 01.02.2002 – to 03.07.2019).

The name of prof. Valerii Ivanovych Korsun is well known in Ukraine and in the world. His work in the scientific and educational fields is discussed in the publications:

Valerii I. Korsun is Academician of the International Academy of Standardization (since February 22, 2011); Academician of the Academy of Technical Sciences of Ukraine (since July 1, 2019).

He is the founder and head of the scientific school “Symmetry in the problems of adaptive identification and metrology” (Awarded the Diploma of the Presidium of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine “For significant contribution to the development of scientific schools of Ukraine”).

Valerii I. Korsun is a member of the editorial boards of the collection of scientific works “Adaptive automatic control systems” of NTUU “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and “Collection of scientific works of the Odesa State Academy of Technical Regulation and Quality”.

From 2000 to 2019, he was a member of specialized scientific councils for the defense of doctoral and master’s theses in “Automation of control processes” (NTU “DP”, Dnipro), “Instruments and methods for measuring mechanical quantities” and “Standardization, certification, and metrological support” (ODATRTAYA, Odesa), “Mathematical modeling and computational methods” (NMetAU, Dnipro).

Publications:

Valerii I. Korsun is the author of more than 300 scientific and scientific-methodical works, including 2 monographs, 3 textbooks, 3 copyright certificates of the USSR, and 3 patents of Ukraine and Russia for inventions. Under his supervision 5 candidate dissertations were defended, several dissertations for preparation of scientific degrees of the candidate and the doctor of technical sciences are prepared.

 In 1962, he graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in the field of “Aircraft Instrumentation” and received a qualification as an engineer-electromechanic.

 In 1971, at the Dnepropetrovsk State University he defended his thesis for a candidate’s degree in engineering sciences on the theme “Optimization of periodicity control of the technical condition of missile systems systems” in the direction of 05.07.02 – Designing of aircraft. The scientific supervisor was the academician of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Rector of  Dnipropetrovsk State University V.I. Mossakovsky.

 In 1978, according the decision of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR he was awarded the academic rank of Senior Researcher. In 1996, at the Dnipropetrovsk State University, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences on the theme “Development of assessment methods for designing operational characteristics of rocket systems with combined control of technical condition and aggregative repair of systems” in the direction of 05.07.02 – Designing of aircraft.

In 2004, she graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics of Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology in the specialty “Automated Process Control” and received the qualification of a researcher engineer.

In 2007, she defended a dissertation for the degree of a candidate of technical sciences on the topic “Process and equipment of fine crushing of pigments and fillers for paint and varnish industry” in the direction 05.17.08 – Processes and equipment of chemical technology at SHEI USUCT. In 2013, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies and Metrology.

In the academic year 2013/2014, she held the position of academic secretary of the Mechanical faculty of SHEI USUCT. Since 2018, she has been acting as a scientific secretary of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technology and Metrology.

In 1971, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics and Technology of the Dnepropetrovsk State University in the specialty “Systems of Automatic Control” and received the qualification of an engineer-electromechanic. Worked as an engineer at CB “Yuzhnoye” in a complex of tests. From 1974 to 1985, he worked as a senior engineer of the research sector of the Dnipropetrovsk Chemical-Technological Institute.

In 1973, he defended a dissertation for the degree of a candidate of technical sciences at the Dnepropetrovsk Chemical Technology Institute on the topic “Investigation of the synthesis of ethylchlorosilanes and the development of an automatic control system” in the direction 05.13.07 – Automatic control of technological processes in the chemical industry. Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences, professor of the State Research Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Organometallic Compounds S.A. Holubtsov.

In 2006, she graduated from the Faculty of Organic Substances Technology of Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology in the specialty “Technology of Polymer Processing” and received the qualification of a specialist in technology of polymer processing. The second higher education she received in 2011 at the Faculty of Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering of the Ukrainian State Chemical-Technological University in the specialty “Automated control of technological processes” and has the qualification of a specialist in the automated control of technological processes.

In 1989, he graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics of Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology in the specialty “Automation and complex mechanization of chemical and technological processes” and received the qualification of an automation engineer. After graduation from the University, he worked as an engineer at the design institute “VNIPI Energoprom” at the automation department.

Since 1991, he has studied at the post-graduate course of Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology. After graduation, he worked as an assistant at the Department of automation of production processes. Since 2000, he has been working as a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technology and Metrology.

In 2009, he received a second higher education at the Faculty of Modern Technologies, specializing in Economics of Enterprise, and a specialist in economics.

In 2013, he graduated from the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Engineering of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, specializing in “Automated Control of Processes”, received a qualification as an engineer-researcher on automated control of technological processes, and began to work as an assistant at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies and Metrology.

From 2014 to 2017, he studied at the post-graduate course of the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies and Metrology. He is currently working on a dissertation theme “Optimal control of heat and mass transfer processes with distributed control actions” under the guidance of a candidate of technical sciences, associate professor of Department of Computer-Integrated Technology and Automation V.Ya. Trishkin.

In 1997, she graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Dnepropetrovsk State Mining Academy in the specialty “Computerized Control Systems and Automation” and received the qualification of an electrical engineer.

Since 2000, she has been working at the Department of Computer-Integrated Technologies and Automation of SHEI USUCT, since 2006 – Head of the Laboratory.

In 1992, he graduated from the mechanical faculty of the Dnepropetrovsk chemical-technological institute in the specialty “Automation and complex mechanization of chemical-technological processes” and received the qualification of an electrical engineer.

 He works at the Department of automation of production processes (now computer-integrated technologies and automation) since 1985, as a technician of the research sector, an educational master, an engineer of the I category.

He conducts laboratory and practical training courses:

  • Control and control of HTP
  • Fundamentals of Electronics
  • Metrological measurements
  • Measuring transducers

Since 2016, he hold extra curriculum classes at the Faculty of Computer Science and Electronics Engineering.

In 1983, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute (department of electrometallurgy of steel and ferroalloys) in the specialty “Metallurgy of ferrous metals” and received the qualification of a metallurgist engineer.

 Since 2010, he has been working at the Department of Automation of Production Processes (now Computer-Integrated Technologies and Automation) at the Department of Engineering and Technology of USUCT as an Engineer of the 1st category.
