Training as a mechanism for forming team interaction

On February 15, 2023, as part of the implementation of the program “EU4Business: competitiveness and internationalization of SMEs”, which is jointly financed by the European Union and the German government through the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the training “Effective professional negotiations in crisis conditions for the development of public-private partnership in the region” for the participants of the Cluster of printing industry, publishing houses and digital technologies “Printing: logistics, service, quality” and its partners.

The event was held on the basis of the Center for Innovative Costs of the Printing Industry of Dnipropetrovsk Region (research laboratory of paint and printing materials) of the Ukrainian State University of Chemistry and Technology.

Goal of the training: improving the skills of using modern techniques of professional negotiations during the creation and development of models of partnership relations with business enterprises of the regional labor market, state authorities, local self-government (theory + practice).

 

More than 20 participants from various regional structures, business associations, enterprises, institutions of professional and higher education and leading partner public organizations of Dnipropetrovsk Region took part in the training. The training consisted of two sessions: the first – partner communication, the second – direct training.

 

 

During the first session, a symbolic and solemn moment was the conclusion of the Memorandum on partnership between the Cluster of the printing industry, publishing houses and digital technologies “Printing: logistics, service, quality” in the person of its head – Natalya Isaeva and the NGO “Association of restaurateurs and hoteliers of Dnipro” in in the person of Olena Bulak. Partner organizations presented a joint vision for increasing the business activity of small and medium-sized businesses in the region.

Olha Sverdlikovska, dean of the Faculty of Economics and Humanities and Law of the State University of Ukraine, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, professor, and Maksym Potapchuk, director of Metal Print LLC, also addressed the training participants with an outline of ways to restore Ukraine and determine ways to diversify the economy into more innovative and science-intensive areas .

The training participants thoroughly analyzed various factors that are the driving factors for changes in activity strategies: crisis situations, technological progress, economic conditions, infrastructural limitations and the lack of transparent communication mechanisms with local self-government bodies, environmental problems, demographic changes that already affect the development of Ukrainian business

 

 

 

Joint work and training of the teams was provided by Olena Bobir, psychologist, career consultant, certified trainer, recruiter, certified supervisor according to the European standards of the Association of National Supervisory Organizations of Europe (ANSE).

Tasks of the training:

  • formation of a complete system of knowledge about the structure of the negotiation process, basic negotiation styles, tactics of behavior during negotiations;
  • development of professionally relevant communicative qualities and personal skills, awareness of one’s own communicative resources of influence;
  • recognizing and overcoming manipulations during communication.

Training for the participants of the cluster and its partners became one of the real ways to increase the level of psychological and social competence of employees in the conditions of economic crisis and martial law. It is also a powerful motivational mechanism, because the skills acquired by the management at the training will contribute to their further professional and personal growth, the construction of a communication strategy between different target groups, and this, in turn, will ensure an increase in the efficiency of the activities of the cluster as a whole and its individual participants , stability in the formation of regional policies with local self-government bodies.
