Graduation of masters at the Department of Analytical Chemistry

On January 2022, at the Department of Analytical Chemistry and CT FA and C, another graduation of master’s students was taken place, who studied in specialty 161 “Chemical Technology and Engineering”, who studied according to one and a half years of educational and professional program “Chemical Technology of Food Additives and Cosmetics”.

Iryna Mykolaivna Maliovana, Director of Elixir LLC, who had graduated with honors from the Master’s program at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, was invited by the Chairman of the State Examination Commission.

For two days in a row, the masters presented their various research papers to the respected examination commission. The range of scientific and technical research was very wide: it was the use of the properties of carotene-containing oils in cosmetics (Master M.R. Minaeva – head Assoc. Prof. O.Y. Vashkevych) and directly manufactured cosmetics. For example, Master O.S. Drapak presented samples of developed cosmetic scrubs, and L.V. Gusarevich – waterproof hypoallergenic mascara (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Labiak O.V.).

Most research works were distinguished by a variety of modern research methods. Special attention in the Department is paid to the development of new methods of synthesis of food additives, in particular the work of Master I.S. Punko devoted to the synthesis of magnesium phosphate salts for use in the food industry (headed by Prof. M.V Nikolenko.).

The cycle of works on studying the processes of modification of native starches in the production of food additives was continued (Master V.O. Gunchenko, Head Assoc. Prof. T.M. Avdiienko).

Master of E.S. Zozulska was involved in establishing the influence of various components of perfumes on their stability under the guidance of Assoc. M. O. Myroniak  

Masters M.A. Orlov and O.O. Davydova (head Assoc. Prof. V.L. Kovalenko.) presented multi-colored cosmetic pigments on the basis of double-layer hydroxides intercalated with food dyes.
