Excursion of students of specialty 161 Chemical technologies and engineering to the “INTERKERAMA” plant

On December 11, 2023, students of specialty 161 “Chemical technologies and engineering” together with the associate professor of the department of chemical technology of ceramics, glass and building materials Yaroslava Lykholat visited the INTERKERAMA plant ( Dnipro).

“INTERKERAMA” is the only plant in Ukraine that produces large-format ceramic granite slabs with minimum thickness, and has the ability to format slabs to different sizes, even according to individual customer orders. The new production is equipped with a smart control system and Italian equipment of the latest generation.

The tour was conducted by production director Maxim Solomniuk, who is a graduate of our university. 1st-year students were introduced to the process of porcelain stoneware production, were shown the processes and equipment, and talked with representatives at some of the sites. Production director and chief technologist Mykhailo Filatov answered many interesting questions of future technologists.

It was nice to meet many of our graduates at the plant sites, who gladly welcomed the students.
