On November 4, 2023, students of our university took part in a regional debate tournament organized by the All-Ukrainian initiative “Active Community”. It took place in the format of a British parliamentary debate. Debate is a game in which people have to defend their logical opinion on the topic that occurred to them during the game.

The organizer of the debate tournament was the All-Ukrainian public organization “Institute Republic” and the All-Ukrainian initiative “Active Community”, with the support of the National Democratic Institute NDI and with funding from the USAIT International Development Agency.

Debate is a great way to develop public speaking, logical thinking and argumentation skills. Our students competed in justifying their views on current topics and took 5th place among the represented teams from the entire region.

During the tournament, students demonstrated impressive arguments and the ability to communicate effectively.

Participating in debates gives students the opportunity not only to express their views, but also to develop self-confidence and the ability to understand different points of view.

As a result of this experience, students gained valuable experience that will certainly be useful in their future professional and personal life.
