The plenary session brought together representatives of science, education, and innovative business. Presentations were delivered by Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Leading Research Fellow of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Valerii Demchenko; co-founder of MOVA Brewing Co Bohdan Tochka; Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Margarita Skyba; Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Oleh Kalinichenko; doctoral student Oleksandra Amelina; and Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR, Spain) Hanna Khodorenko.
As part of the conference, on 21 May 2026, the meeting of Section VIII “Biotechnology and Bioengineering” was held. The section was chaired by Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Safety Olha Kuznetsova; the moderator was Associate Professor Kateryna Vlasenko; and the secretary was Larysa Pavlenko.
Active participation in the section’s work was taken by lecturers of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Safety: Assistant, PhD Valeriia Pavlova, Assistant, PhD Maksym Malook, and Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Nataliia Kutsyk-Savchenko.
During the session, participants presented scientific reports dedicated to current areas of modern biotechnology, bioengineering, ecology, agricultural biotechnology, and food technologies. Young researchers discussed the application of biotechnological processes in medicine, agriculture, the food industry, and the creation of modern biomaterials, as well as presented studies related to environmental safety, microbiology, and innovative biomedical developments.
On 21 May 2026, the meeting of Section IX “Life Safety, Occupational Health and Civil Protection” was also held. During the session, participants presented reports dedicated to current challenges in the fields of occupational safety, civil protection, environmental safety, and risk management.
