Signing of the cooperation agreement with the EPAM IT company

The state higher educational institution “Ukrainian State Chemical and Technological University” and the IT company EPAM concluded an Agreement, the subject of which is cooperation in the field of modern information technologies, which will be directed to increase the level of training of students, retraining and raising the qualifications of specialists in this field by the University.

Among the main forms of cooperation provided for by the Agreement is the exchange of information on new tasks, research and development in the field of modern information technologies, including new methods and means of software development; assistance of the EPAM company in the organization by the University of scientific and technical, informational, methodical support of the educational process, training and retraining of personnel.

It should be noted that scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Information Systems of UDHTU, where training is conducted according to the educational programs of the branch 12 “Information Technologies”, participated in three programs for teachers of the “Teacher’s Internship program” from the ERAM company in 2021 and 2022.

The company, in turn, has already shown its interest in the training of highly qualified specialists in the specialty “Computer Science”, taking an active part in reviewing the educational program of the same name, according to which training is carried out at the Department of Information Systems UDHTU.

Also, among the forms of cooperation, the creation of conditions for the implementation of projects of interest to both sides of the Agreement, including the involvement of students for the purpose of training and obtaining practical skills in the field of modern information technologies, is indicated. Currently, the participation of 11 students of the Department of IS in the large-scale Marathon of IT technologies from ERAM University is ongoing, the purpose of which is to introduce the participants to the full cycle of web application development. Participants delve into the development of their own project and, with the help of ERAM experts, make their way to a ready-made application from scratch, gaining relevant knowledge in practice.

Therefore, cooperation continues, because it is important to develop relations between a modern IT company and the University in order to obtain the maximum benefit and positive results for students, as well as for ZVO and the company.
