Signing of an agreement on scientific and practical cooperation with the Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after Prof. E. Sitenka National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
On October 10, 2024, an agreement on scientific and practical cooperation was signed between the educational and scientific institute “Ukrainian State Chemical and Technological University” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and the Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology named after Prof. E. Sitenka National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kharkov).
As part of the research work of young scientists No. 35/230390 “Creation of oxide-ceramic biocompatible coatings for a new generation of 3D implants” the head and responsible person from the National Research Institute of UDHTU Oleg Kalinichenko and the head of the Department of Transplantology and Experimental Modeling Petro Vorontsov agreed to conduct experiments on performing surgical intervention in animals (mice) on the basis of the experimental and biological clinic of the Russian Academy of Sciences to evaluate the biocompatible properties of the developed oxide-ceramic coatings for implants. The research protocol plan must be approved by the bioethics and deontology committee, and the materials of the joint experimental study will undergo a bioethical examination.
During the signing of the contract, Acting the rector of the university, Professor Kostyantyn Sukhii, noted the importance of such research, especially in the conditions of the modern world: “Such research, which is a symbiosis of medicine and chemical technology, will become the basis for the creation of effective production of Ukrainian implants and the development of the health care system “I of Ukraine”.
