On December 3, 2021, an event called “Collaboration of education and IT business: promising directions in technologies in 2022” was held at the initiative of the IT company EPAM. Experts of ERAM University invited teachers of IT specialties of universities of Dnipro and the region to exchange experience, communicate with colleagues and learn more about the effective training of modern IT specialists. The online meeting was attended by teachers of the Department of Information Systems, and as a representative of the department, associate professor of the department Denisyuk Olga Rostyslavivna visited the company’s office.

Together with Dnipro teachers and ERAM experts, the following topics were discussed:

• What trends and perspectives are relevant now in the field of IT education?
• How does the role of a teacher change in a world where there is Internet, YouTube and access to all the information in the world?
• What is currently expected of graduates of technical specialties on the labor market?
• How to effectively train modern IT specialists?
• What learning tools and approaches are used by teachers in EPAM University Programs?

Such meetings of representatives of the IT sphere and the educational community help to determine which areas are developing and which are gradually losing relevance, and which knowledge and skills IT specialists need already in 2022. After all, successful employment of graduates is a common goal of both graduate departments and IT companies.
