Internship of teachers of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances and Ecology in Norway

Teachers of the department of technologies of inorganic substances and ecology prof. Smotraev R.V., docent. Gevod V.S., docent. Gruzdeva O.V., Assoc. Skiba M.I., Assistant. Sorochkina K.O. are participants in the international project Water Harmony – II, which is financed by a grant from the Norwegian Higher Education and Skills Administration of the Ministry of Education within the framework of the EURASIA program.

The project envisages enrolling students from partner universities for full-time study and teacher training at the Summer School in Norway.

 

In June of this year (9/06/22 – 15/06/22) the teachers of the department of technology of inorganic substances and ecology, namely Assoc. Gruzdeva O.V. and Assoc. M.I. Skiba

During the internship, teachers took part in lectures, seminars, webinars on a number of topical issues of improving the quality of education and modern issues of water purification and water treatment, namely: “Adaptation of curricula to the requirements of the employer (motivational model)”, Pedagogical practice in the USA – Example of New York Columbia University, “Education Quality Assurance”, “Emergency Water Management”, “Cold Climate Water Management Issues”, “E-Learning Content Production”, etc.

Also during the internship (June 13, 2022), the final webinar “Physical and Cyber Risks in the Water Sector” was held, which completed the series of webinars of the in-service training for teachers “Innovative pedagogy in higher education water education programs”, organized by the teachers of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences of Sciences (As, Norway). In general, the course program included 11 thematic webinars.

Teachers had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with laboratories equipped with the most modern high-tech equipment and pilot installations of modern water treatment and wastewater treatment technologies. Internship participants also visited underground water treatment and wastewater treatment stations and in practice got acquainted with modern technologies for monitoring water treatment processes at the station.
