Excursion of students of the “Physical Rehabilitation” educational program to the MAXKIN Physical Therapy Center
On June 6, 2024, full-time students of the specialty 017 Physical culture and sports, of the educational program “Physical rehabilitation”, as well as teachers of the department of physical culture, sports and health I visited the MAXKIN Physical Therapy Center with a tour of the Ukrainian State Chemical and Technological University of Ukraine. /p>
The owner and director of the center of alternative and holistic medicine MAXKIN Maxim Eliseyev met the visitors.
The tour began with an introduction to procedural rooms equipped with modern equipment and professional equipment. Most attention was paid to the massage rooms, which offer a wide range of procedures, in particular, sports, lymphatic drainage, therapeutic, hardware, anti-cellulite and relaxation massages, as well as a kinesiotaping room. Students received additional knowledge about jar vacuum massage using traditional silicone, plastic, glass jars and heated jars.
Students were interested in the method of conducting vibration massage on Swiss equipment, during which various nozzles and stickers are used, thanks to which it is possible to adjust the intensity of waves and other parameters when acting on different parts of the body.
The next stage of the excursion was an introduction to the method of magnetotherapy using a professional Swiss device: the specialist individually adjusts the strength of the index, the time of the procedure and determines individual areas of manipulation. Maksym Yeliseev offered the students several magnetic therapy procedures so that they could understand the patient’s feelings during the procedure.
The owner of the center also interestingly talked about the various types of acupuncture, which are in wide demand among the center’s visitors, and invited students to take part in training and improving the qualifications of the center’s employees in the field of acupuncture.
The physical rehabilitation hall, equipped with modern professional equipment, did not go unnoticed by the students, where Maksym explained in detail how to perform exercises on a traction table with a device for stretching the relevant sections of the spine and joints, as well as effective therapy, which is used to treat diseases of the spine.
During the excursion, students also observed individual functional training with a patient, during which expanders, fitball balls, other equipment and simulators were used.
In the diagnostic office, where muscle testing, applied kinesiology, myofascial chains are checked, imbalances are determined and eliminated, active joint screening is evaluated, physical exercises are performed, and massages are performed, Maksym Yeliseev demonstrated to the students, how the podoscope is used – a platform for diagnosing the foot, and explained the scope and methods of its use.
We are sincerely grateful to the management of the MAXKIN physical therapy center and its employees for the excursion for students and teachers of the department of physical culture, sports and Health Department of the UDHTU. Excursionists hope that they will have the opportunity to practice in this most modern center of physical therapy in the city of Dnipro.
