Creative beer label design competition at the SEI USUCT
The Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (USUCT) Educational and Scientific Institute hosted a creative beer label design competition.
The initiators of the competition were the Department of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and Food Technology and the Department of Fuel, Polymer and Printing Materials Technology. The event was held with the support of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies and the trade union organization of SEI USUCT.
Students of 3–5 years of the specialties “Publishing and Printing” and “Social Entrepreneurship” took part in the competition. Each participant showed remarkable imagination, originality of thinking, and a deep understanding of modern design trends. Their works impressed with the variety of styles, bold color solutions and apt reflection of the potential identity of the new beer brand.
The commission carefully considered each submitted work, assessing the creativity of the concept, quality of execution, relevance to the topic and potential appeal to the consumer. After lively discussions, the winners were determined:
- 3rd place – Timofeeva Yulia (gr. 4-VP-3) and Keyda Anna (gr. 3-SP-68)
The award ceremony was opened by the acting director of theSEI USUCT, professor of the Department of Fuel, Polymer and Printing Materials Technologies, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Olga Sverdlikovska. She welcomed the participants and drew attention to the value of combining creativity and technological thinking in modern education. Associate Professor of the Department of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and Food Products Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences Oleg Chervakov shared interesting facts about brewing technology and emphasized the strong connection between science and practice.
The winners received certificates and cash prizes, and the competition itself became an example of successful interdisciplinary interaction – when technology, entrepreneurship and the art of design are combined for a common result.
