Charity fair for the Day of Defenders of Ukraine at theSEI USUCT
On October 1, 2025, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine was held at the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (USUCT). It combined a concert program, laying flowers at the memorial, and a charity fair.
The official part began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, after which all those present remembered those who protect our peaceful life today. The Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Humanitarian Policy of USUST Galyna Yevseeva expressed her gratitude to the defenders and emphasized that it is thanks to the Armed Forces that we have the opportunity to study, work, and live, and the memory of the fallen will remain with us forever.
A particularly moving moment was the speeches of our native heroes: the wife of Evgeny Bekysh, Kateryna Bekysh, and the mother of Denys Kovach, Olena Kovach. Their words were filled with personal pain and at the same time pride in the life and feat of their loved ones.
During the event, those present honored the memory of the deceased students, graduates, relatives and employees of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology with a minute of silence:
- Kovach Denis
- Bekish Yevhen
- Tymchy-Sushansky Bohdan
- Doroshuk Mykola
- Leontiev Ruslan
- Zayets Artem
- Lakusta Serhiy
- Nikiforova Liliya

- Zhylenko Stanislav
- Chyzh Andriy
- Ostapenko Vladislav
- Taranenko Serhiy
- Zamkovy Dmytro
- Shkadovsky Denys
- Rybytsky Andriy
- Savisko Maksym
Their names are forever inscribed in the history of our university and all of Ukraine.
The memory of the deceased was also honored with artistic performances. The dance group “Euphoria” presented a tender and touching dance “Cranes”, and student Anastasia Fitkovska read her own poem “God’s Grace, Country”, dedicated to the strength and beauty of her native land.
The official part ended with laying flowers at the memorial, which was opened at the SEI USUCT two years ago. Together with students and teachers, the flowers were laid by Vice-Rector Galina Yevseeva, Acting Director of the Institute Olga Sverdlikovska, deans of faculties and guests of the event.
After the festivities, a charity fair began in the hall of the institute. University students prepared their own pastries, delicacies, craft products and handmade goods. There was also a board where everyone could leave warm words and wishes for our soldiers. Warm things and the most necessary things were collected in a special basket to pass all this on to students and graduates who are currently serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Proceeds from the fair will also be directed to support our defenders.
We thank everyone who participated: those who prepared speeches, those who came to honor the memory, and those who brought things or bought a product at the fair. Today we remembered, thanked and helped, because this is how respect and support is shown.
Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
