All-Ukrainian student scientific and practical internet conference “Language and literature in a multicultural society”
Congratulations to the debutantes in science!
On November 17, 2022, students of the Ukrainian State University of Chemistry and Technology, who this year entered the specialties 014 Secondary Education and 033 History and Archeology, took part in All-Ukrainian student scientific and practical internet conference “Language and literature in a multicultural society”, which was organized by Mariupol State University and Berdyansk State Pedagogical University.
Students of the Ukrainian State Chemical and Technological University joined the work of the section “Theory and history of Ukrainian and world literature”, in particular presented reports on the following topics:
- “The semantics of the color brown in Neil Gaiman’s story “Coraline””, the speaker is Bohdana Davydova, a 1st-year student of the SOu; scientific director – art. teacher of the department of philology and translation G.M. Kolisnyk
- “Reconstruction of Greek myths and Homer’s poem “Illiad” in Wolfgang Petersen’s film “Troy”, speaker – Yelizaveta Lyubchenko, 1st-year student of SOa; scientific leader – professor of the department of philology and translation L.M. Kulakevich
- “Peculiarities of the reconstruction of the Oedipus myth in Paolo Pasolini’s film “Oedipus””, speaker – Maria Poturemets, 1st-year student of SOa; scientific leader – professor of the department of philology and translation L.M. Kulakevich
- “The code of the Hutsul ethnic group in Serhii Parajanov’s film “Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors”, speaker – Bilovodenko Yerofey, 1st-year student of 1-IA; scientific supervisor – professor of the department of philology and translation L.M. Kulakevich.
Students liked the atmosphere of relaxed discussion, where everyone freely expressed their opinions, and well-known professors did not put pressure on novice students with their scientific authority.
Let’s hope that the organizers will continue to use the format of the Internet conference, because it will allow everyone who wants to participate in scientific events despite quarantine and pandemic obstacles, borders between countries and post-war unrest, which cannot be avoided.
