1st International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Modern Problems of Professional and Civil Security”

For the World Day for Safety and Health at Work on April 28, 2020 the Department of Occupational Safety and Health held the 1st International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Modern Problems of Occupational and Civil Safety”.

The International Labor Organization intended to hold events dedicated to solving the problem of violence and harassment in the workplace. However, the planned event was prevented by an extraordinary event – the outbreak of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, so the motto of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work-2020 is “Stop the pandemic: safety and health at work can save lives”.

The relevance of the conference is due to the trends in the development of the modern world, in which security issues are gaining new significance and importance. This was reflected in the work of four sections, which covered issues of industrial and civil security, current aspects of socio-economic, information and environmental security of society.

The topics of the reports are devoted to the problems of increasing safety at enterprises of the chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnological, food industries, aerospace, machine-building complex, agro-industrial complex, microbiological laboratories and construction. The results of the analysis of the causes of occupational diseases in Ukraine are presented, and solutions to some problems of transport, fire, environmental, biological and information hazards are recommended. Special attention is paid to acute issues of civil security and means of protection.

Scientists from 16 scientific, educational and production organizations took part in the conference, including universities in Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Melitopol and Dnipro. Employees of the Educational and Methodological Center for Civil Protection and the Railways of Dnipropetrovsk region, PJSC “Oril-Lider”, Petrykivskyi district, Dnipropetrovsk region, and students and teachers of the KNP “Chemical and Ecological Lyceum” in Dnipro, Goryanivskyi NVK “ZOSSH I-III degrees” of Dnipro district and KPNP “Center for Ecological and Naturalistic Creativity of Student Youth” of the Dnipro district council of Dnipropetrovsk region took an active part in the conference. Students of the State Higher Educational Institution of the Ukrainian State Technical University, Oles Honchar National University of Dnipropetrovsk region and others joined the conference. higher.

Based on the results of the conference, a collection of abstracts was published, which included 51 abstracts by 67 authors.
