Winners of Research Competitions and Academic Olympiads Honoured at the Academic Council Meeting of the SEI USUCT
On 1 July 2026, during the meeting of the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST), a ceremonial award presentation was held to honour students who had demonstrated outstanding achievements in academic and research activities, as well as their academic supervisors.
The ceremony was opened by Associate Professor Yaroslav Kozlov, Deputy Director of the Institute, and Associate Professor Olena Velichko, Coordinator of Student Research Activities. On behalf of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, they presented a Letter of Appreciation to Associate Professor Stanislav Kovalov, Acting Head of the Department of Energy Engineering, in recognition of his initiative, perseverance, outstanding professionalism, and significant contribution to the development of education and science in Ukraine.
During the ceremony, diplomas were awarded to the winners of the first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition for the 2025–2026 academic year. Letters of appreciation were also presented to the academic staff members who supervised the prize-winning students, and certificates were awarded to the winners of the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Subject Olympiad.
In total, 42 students of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” became winners of the first round of the All-Ukrainian Student Research Competition. During the Academic Council meeting, 29 of these students received their awards.

During the ceremony, certificates were presented to students of the University who achieved outstanding results and became winners of the first stage of the Subject Olympiad thanks to their high level of academic achievement.
In the 2025–2026 academic year, 96 students of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” became winners of the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Subject Olympiad. During the award ceremony, 49 students received certificates in recognition of their achievements.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, recognition was also given to the supervisors and winners of school student competitions. Associate Professor Stanislav Kovalov, Head of the Department of Energy Engineering, received a Letter of Appreciation from the National Ecological and Naturalistic Centre of Student Youth for his outstanding contribution to preparing school students for the final stage of the All-Ukrainian Biology Forum for School and University Students “Touch of Nature 2025”.
The recognition of students and their academic mentors once again confirmed the high standard of research, education, and scholarly activity carried out at the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST).
