On June 2, 2023, students and teachers of the Department of Information Systems of UDHTU took part in an excursion to the IT company Sigma Software, during which they had the opportunity to see “from the inside” the everyday life of the company’s specialists, get the latest news and insights from the IT world, get to know the educational opportunities for beginners offered by the company’s educational department – Sigma Software University and prospects for cooperation with the company.

Sigma Software is an international IT consulting company with offices in 19 countries that has been creating advanced IT solutions for customers around the world for over 20 years. The company is among the TOP-5 best IT employers of Ukraine according to the DOU.ua portal.

UDHTU has had official partnership relations with the Sigma Software company since September 2022. In particular, as part of this cooperation, the “Computer Science” educational program of the second (master’s) level of higher education was reviewed by Sigma Software specialists. In addition, together with the company representatives, an online meeting was held for the students of the department, where they received information about the company and the opportunities it provides, as well as a joint training course for the department’s teachers.

During the visit, other directions of cooperation were also discussed, in particular, the involvement of the company’s specialists in conducting guest lectures for students of the Department of IS and the possibility of pre-diploma internships for applicants based on the Sigma Software company.
