On February 12, 2026, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Problems of Disability of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation, which lays the foundation for the development of joint interdisciplinary research in the field of science, education and healthcare.

Representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute of USUCT, in particular the Department of Chemical Technologies of Ceramics, Glass and Biomedical Materials, took an active part in the formation of the partnership. The delegation included the head of the department, professor Olexandr Zaychuk, associate professors Olena Khomenko, Oleksiy Sigunov and Olexandra Amelina. Specialists of the SEI USUCT presented the scientific and educational potential of the institute in areas related to biomedical materials, rehabilitation technologies and the implementation of research results into practice. The meeting was held with the assistance of the head of the Department of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy of the SEI PDAFKiS Sergiy Rokutov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of involving scientists and students in joint projects, the development of applied research and the integration of scientific developments into the medical and social sphere. Such cooperation opens up new prospects for the SEI USUCT to participate in interdisciplinary initiatives focused on the current challenges of modern medicine and society.

The signing of the memorandum was an important step in strengthening the role of the SEI USUCT as a scientific partner in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of technology, materials science and healthcare.
