On May 14, 2025, the national team of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology worthily represented the university at the regional Universiade in basketball among men, which was held in the sports hall of NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic”.

The team took an honorable 2nd place, losing only to the hosts of the competition – the team of “Dnipro Polytechnic” and received a certificate from the Dnipropetrovsk regional branch of the Center for Physical Education and Sports of Pupils and Students of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.

The USUST national team included representatives of SEI USUCT:

• Vitaly Martysevich (group 2-PS-1)
• Ivan Goncharuk (group 2-BMI-51)
• Zakhar Tregub (group 4-TS-47)
• Danylo Filonenko, junior research fellow at the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health

The team was coached by senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health Alla Kyrychenko, who managed to set the guys up for confident play and support their fighting spirit even in the most difficult moments.
