The SEI USUCT Celebrated the Graduation of the Class of 2026 Bachelor’s Students
On 1 July 2026, the Bachelor’s Graduation Ceremony took place at the Fountain Square in front of the main building of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies (USUST).
The occasion marked a significant milestone for hundreds of young graduates who had successfully completed an important stage of their lives. Ahead of them lie new professional challenges, further studies at the Master’s level, the beginning of their careers, and the pursuit of their ambitions. On this special day, the University community came together to celebrate the graduates’ achievements and express gratitude to everyone who had supported them throughout their years of study.
In keeping with tradition, the ceremony began with a tribute to the memory of the Ukrainian defenders who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Ukraine. The participants observed a minute of silence in honour of the fallen Heroes, followed by the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine.
The graduates were warmly congratulated by Olha Sverdlikovska, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” and Professor. In her address, she thanked the students for their enthusiasm, perseverance, and active involvement in the life of the Institute. She emphasized that their years at the University had been not only a time of acquiring professional knowledge but also a period of personal growth, new discoveries, and lasting friendships.
Sincere congratulations and best wishes were also extended by the Deans of the Institute’s faculties:
- Professor Valerii Ovcharov, Dean of the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies;
- Associate Professor Pavlo Zadorozhnyi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology;
- Associate Professor Nataliia Bannyk, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering;
- Professor Nataliia Chupryna, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law.
Each of them wished the graduates every success in their professional careers, continuous personal and professional development, and outstanding achievements in the years ahead.
The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by performances from the Institute’s student artistic groups. Guests enjoyed an energetic performance by the Rhythmix Team dance ensemble and a vibrant act by the Euphoria creative group. A special musical highlight of the celebration was the song “To Be Happy”, performed by graduate Mariia Verbytska.
One of the most emotional moments of the celebration was the traditional graduation waltz, symbolizing the end of the students’ university years and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. This year, the graduates were joined on the dance floor by the Institute’s Director, Professor Olha Sverdlikovska, and Deputy Director, Associate Professor Yaroslav Kozlov, making the occasion even more memorable and heartfelt.
Following the waltz, the audience watched a video prepared by the Student Council, highlighting some of the most memorable moments of student life, including academic achievements, creative projects, university events, volunteer initiatives, and the unforgettable experiences shared throughout their years of study. The leadership of the Educational and Scientific Institute also presented commemorative awards to the students who had made outstanding contributions to student initiatives and campus life.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Bachelor’s diplomas. The first graduates to receive their degree certificates were students of the Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law, followed by graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, and the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies. The diplomas were presented by representatives of the respective faculties together with the Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology“, Professor Olha Sverdlikovska.
The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of Bachelor’s degrees. The first graduates to receive their diplomas were students of the Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law, followed by graduates of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology, the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering, and the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies. The diplomas were presented by the Deans and faculty representatives together with Professor Olha Sverdlikovska, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology“.
