The team of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology won 1st place in the basketball stage of the II round of the project “Shoulder to Shoulder” of the All-Ukrainian Student Leagues, which took place in Dnipro.

In the final match on April 22, 2026, the USUST basketball team faced the team of the University of Customs and Finance. The game was intense and competitive; however, it was our team that demonstrated coordination, composure, and confidence in key moments, which secured the victory.

A significant role in preparing the athletes was played by the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of the SEI USUCT, Alla Kyrychenko. It was the systematic coaching work, discipline, and professional approach that enabled the team to fully realize its potential during the competition.

The team included: Yevhen Nekrasov, Illia Moroko, Ivan Honcharuk, Danylo Ivanchenko, Maksym Papirnyk, Hlib Dudka, Volodymyr Riabukha, Vitalii Martysevych, Tymofii Hapon, Danylo Tsuprov.

The victory in the tournament is the result of the students’ teamwork and the professional mentorship of the faculty, as well as confirmation that student sports at the SEI USUCT are developing systematically and effectively.
