The All-Ukrainian Economic and Legal Forum was held at the SEI USUCT

On June 17–18, 2025, the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (USUCT) became a platform for the All-Ukrainian Economic and Legal Forum “Combating and Preventing Domestic Violence in Ukraine: Economic and Legal Aspects”.

The organizers of the event were: USUCT. Foreign scientists, specialists from more than 10 cities of Ukraine, including graduate students and students, took part in the event.

The main areas of discussion of the forum covered a number of important topics:

  1. Legal aspects of combating and preventing domestic violence
  2. Economic consequences of domestic violence

The round table meeting was opened by the co-chairs of the organizing committee, who welcomed the Department of Economics and Law and emphasized its significant contribution to the development of education and science:

  • Olexandr Zaichuk, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work of USUST, who emphasized the important role of the department and its significance in the development of the university;
  • Olga Sverdlikovska, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Acting Director of the National Research Institute of the Ukrainian State Technical University of Ukraine, USUST, who noted the successes of the department and its contribution to the training of highly qualified specialists and the development of educational programs;
  • Nataliya Chupryna, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law of the National Research Institute of the Ukrainian State Technical University of Ukraine, Executive Director of the NGO “Union of Marketers of Ukraine”, who thanked the department for its significant contribution to the development of the Ukrainian economy and legal system;
  • Garmider Larisa Dmytrivna, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department Economics and Law, SEI USUCT USUST

Congratulations were also delivered by members of the scientific advisory board, who emphasized the significance of the department in the field of educational and scientific activity.

The All-Ukrainian Economic and Legal Forum “Combating and Preventing Domestic Violence in Ukraine: Economic and Legal Aspects” became a platform for an in-depth analysis of economic and legal mechanisms for combating domestic violence, studying the effectiveness of current legislation, financial support for programs to support victims, as well as developing practical recommendations for the further development of interagency cooperation.

During the round table, a number of reports were presented:

  1. Mykola Repan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Administrative Law and Process, Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs, trainer in training patrol police, mobile groups for responding to facts of domestic violence “POLINA”, community police officers and retraining police officers, Dnipro.
    Topic of the report: “Professional training of mobile patrol police groups as a tool for effective response to facts of domestic violence: problems and prospects”.
  2. Maxim Seleznyov, Ph.D., private contractor, Dnipro.
    Topic of the report: “Ensuring the execution of court decisions in cases of domestic violence: the role and powers of a private executor”
  3. Artem Siryk, criminal lawyer, Dnipro.
    Topic of the report: “Protection of the rights of the victim of domestic violence in connection with the application of Article 126-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: legal practice and problems of implementing court decisions”.
  4. Dmytro Tychyna, D.Sc., senior researcher, leading researcher of the research laboratory on the problems of combating crime of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Kyiv.
    Topic of the report: “Artificial intelligence as the main trend of digital marketing”.
  5. Inna Smal, judge of the Sosnytskyi district court of Chernihiv region, Chernihiv city.
    Topic of the report: “Court practice in cases of domestic violence: problems of qualification, proof and execution of decisions”.

Kateryna Buryak, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. Assoc. Prof. Dept. Economics and Law of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology and Technology and Ivan Bogatyrev, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Academician, Professor of the Department of Criminal Enforcement and Criminal Law of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, Head of the Intellect Scientific School held a presentation of the joint monograph “Life Stories of Overcoming Domestic Violence in Ukraine”.

Each report sparked interesting discussions, which once again confirmed the relevance of the issues raised. The ideas expressed by the forum participants formulated new practical recommendations for the development of effective state policy in the field of combating and preventing domestic violence in Ukraine.

The scientific event confirmed the importance of the topics raised and the high level of professional interest from scientists, representatives of state authorities, local governments, teachers and students.

Based on the results of the forum, an electronic collection of abstracts will be published.
