Can genetically modified products save humanity? This difficult, but extremely relevant question became the topic of the intellectual tournament “Debate Spring 2025”, which took place on May 1, 2025 at the KZO “NVO No. 136” of the Dnipro City Council.

This event brought together high school students of KZO “NVO No. 136” and Lyceum No. 111, who took part in public debates in the “for” and “against” format, demonstrating not only a thorough understanding of the topic, but also brilliant skills in argumentation, critical thinking, and rhetoric.

It is pleasant to note that the tournament’s judging panel included teachers from the Department of Fuel, Polymer and Printing Materials Technologies of the National Research Institute of the Ukrainian State Technical University of Ukraine – Associate Professors Vitaly Golovenko, Kateryna Roenko and Oleg Kalinichenko.

For our colleagues, this was not only a professional expert mission, but also an opportunity to support the development of the intellectual potential of young people, exchange experience with school teachers, and get acquainted with the proactive and active student community.
