On April 30, 2025, the Universiade of Dnipropetrovsk Region in 3×3 Basketball among students took place at the University of Customs and Finance.

As part of the combined team of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, students of the National Institute of Science and Technology of Ukraine Vitaly Martysevich (group 2-PS-18) and Ivan Honcharuk (group 2-BMI-51) performed well. The team, formed from representatives of various educational and scientific institutes of USUST, showed an excellent game, defeating all the tournament winners and losing only to the team of NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic”.

The team competed outside the competition, but this did not reduce the sportsmanship: each game was a vivid example of the will to win, team play and true Ukrainian character.

The team’s coach was Alla Mykolaivna Kyrychenko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of the SEI USUCT, under whose leadership the students confidently fought for every point.
