Students of the SEI USUCT presented their research at an international conference
For the third year in a row, students of educational programs of the Department of Philology and Translation of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology have been participating in the International Scientific and Practical Online Conference of Young Scientists “Languages and Literatures in a Cross-Cultural Perspective” which is held at the Mariupol State University (Kyiv). This year, the conference took place on November 13–14, 2025, and the organizers of the event were the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Vytautas the Great University (Lithuania), the University of Cyprus (Cyprus), the University of Ottawa (Canada) and the University of San Sebastian (Paraguay).
Despite the power outages and the Zoom conference format, the discussions took place in a calm and productive atmosphere. From the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology, the following presented their scientific work:
- Olga Guba, Director of Secondary Education. English Language and Literature and Second Foreign Language», with theses «Narrative Mode of Emily Bronte’s Novel “Wuthering Heights”» – Diploma of the 1st degree;
- Elizaveta Yemelyanova, OP «Secondary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature», with theses «Contentual Features of Sarah Fielding’s Novel “The Governess, or the Little Women’s Academy”» – Diploma of the 3rd degree;
- Elizaveta Lyubchenko, OP «Secondary Education. English Language and Literature and Second Foreign Language», with the research «Genre Features of Elizabeth Gilbert’s Novel “City of Girls”».
The scientific supervisor of the participants is Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Philology and Translation Lyudmila Kulakevych.
