Students and teachers of the National Institute of Civil Engineering of the Ukrainian State Technical University joined the charitable donation campaign “Blood of Unity for the Defenders of Ukraine”
On January 20, 2026, representatives of the SEI USUCT actively supported the charitable donation campaign “Blood of Unity for the Defenders of Ukraine”, initiated by the leadership of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology. Students and scientific and pedagogical workers donated blood at the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital named after I. Mechnikov. For many, this became a conscious step in supporting Ukrainian military and civilians who need blood transfusions every day.
An active information campaign at the institute played an important role in the preparation and conduct of the campaign. The deans of the faculties, the student council of the SEI USUCT, and student self-government bodies joined in the involvement of students and employees. Thanks to joint efforts, it was possible to unite a large number of caring young people who responded to the call to help the defenders of Ukraine.
In the donor hall, the participants were met by the hospital’s doctors and the general director of the institution, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sergiy Ryzhenko, who emphasized the extreme importance of donated blood for saving the wounded in intensive care units. University representatives also thanked the doctors for their daily selfless work in war conditions.
For students and teachers of the National Institute of Blood and Blood Transfusion of the Ukrainian State Technical University, participation in the donation became a manifestation of civic responsibility, solidarity and real help to those who are defending Ukraine today. And on the eve of the Day of Unity of Ukraine, such initiatives once again confirm that unity is not only a historical symbol, but also daily actions in support of life and freedom.
