Student of the Department of Information Systems at SEI USUCT received the NAS of Ukraine award
Master student of the Department of Information Systems at SEI «Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology» USUCT Klevzhyts Dmytro Dmytrovych became a laureate of the prestigious National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine award for young scientists and students for the best scientific works based on the 2025 competition results. The decision was approved by NAS of Ukraine Resolution No. 80 dated 25.02.2026.
The award was granted for the scientific work “Generative-Adversarial Networks in Content Creation”, dedicated to modern artificial intelligence technologies and their application in digital content, image processing, video and audio generation, as well as VR and AR technologies development.
The research began during the preparation of the bachelor’s qualification work and was further developed in the master’s research under the supervision of Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems Korotka Larysa Ivanivna.
Generative-Adversarial Networks (GAN) are one of the most advanced areas of deep learning and artificial intelligence. The technology is based on the interaction of two neural networks, where one generates new data and the other evaluates its realism. This approach enables the creation of high-quality digital images, videos, audio, and other multimedia materials.
Today, GAN technologies are actively used in design, art, computer graphics, film industry, virtual and augmented reality, as well as for improving photo quality and restoring damaged or lost image fragments. A promising direction is the creation of digital objects for VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) environments, opening new opportunities for modern information technologies.
Dmytro Klevzhyts’s research has not only theoretical but also significant practical value, as it demonstrates the prospects of using generative models in digital content creation and the development of innovative software solutions.
Receiving the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine award became important recognition of the high level of training of students at the Department of Information Systems of SEI USUCT and the relevance of scientific research in artificial intelligence.
SEI USUCT notes that supporting young scientists, developing modern IT directions, and involving students in scientific activities remain important components of training competitive specialists in information technologies and digital innovations.
