SEU USUCT and ZTMC join forces for innovations in materials science
On December 11, 2024, an important event took place for the scientific community and industry of Ukraine – leading specialists of the educational and scientific institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology visited the Zaporizhzhia Titanium-Magnesium Combine with the aim of signing an agreement on scientific and practical cooperation.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas of future cooperation, including the development of innovative technologies to improve the production of titanium and magnesium, research in the field of materials science and chemical technologies and engineering, and the creation of new highly effective materials for a wide range of purposes.
The signed agreement provides for the implementation of joint research projects, the involvement of students and postgraduates of USUCT in practical classes on the basis of ZTMC, as well as conducting experiments aimed at improving the quality of titanium-magnesium products.
“Cooperation with such an industrial giant as ZTMK, opens new horizons for our university. We are confident that the synergy of science and production will be an impetus for the creation of innovations that will contribute to the development of the Ukrainian economy,” said the university’s rector, Konstantyn Sukhyi.
This agreement is another step in strengthening ties between education, science and industry, which should become an example for other enterprises and educational institutions. Joint efforts are aimed at making Ukraine competitive on the world stage in the field of high technologies.
