On 2 June 2026, students and lecturers of the A7 “Physical Culture and Sports” programme at the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies participated in an online meeting with representatives of the “Kurort Orlivshchyna” Health Resort, one of the leading rehabilitation and wellness centers in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The event was initiated by the Rector of USUST, Professor Kostiantyn Sukhyi. The meeting was organized by the management of the “Kurort Orlivshchyna” Health Resort and Lina Sokolova, Associate Professor, Deputy Director of the SEI PSAPCS, and Head of the Department of Physical Culture, Sports and Health of the SEI USUCT of USUST.
During the meeting, participants learned about the activities of the health resort, modern approaches to physical therapy, occupational therapy, and medical rehabilitation, the functioning of multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams, and career development opportunities for young professionals.
Particular attention was paid to employment opportunities for graduates. Given the growing societal demand for qualified professionals in the fields of physical culture, sports, and rehabilitation, healthcare institutions, rehabilitation centers, and health resorts are actively seeking young specialists. Representatives of the “Kurort Orlivshchyna” Health Resort presented opportunities for internships, practical training, and future employment, which generated considerable interest among the students.
For students enrolled in the A7 “Physical Culture and Sports” programme, the meeting provided an opportunity to obtain up-to-date information about the modern labor market, employers’ expectations, and career development prospects. At the same time, the event contributed to strengthening cooperation between the university and stakeholders of the educational programmes, which is an important component of high-quality practice-oriented training for future professionals.
The university expresses its sincere gratitude for the openness to cooperation and support of students’ professional development to the management of the “Kurort Orlivshchyna” Health Resort, namely Oleksandr Andriienko, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, and General Director of the resort, as well as Viktoriia Nadraha, Medical Director.
