The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies was represented at the conference by the research team carrying out the project “Fundamental Principles for the Development of Personalized Implants for Military and Civilian Medicine with Prolonged Antimicrobial Activity”, funded by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
The team included:
- Stanislav Kovalyov, Director of the CREATE Center for Materials Design, Structural Engineering and Additive Technologies, Head of the Department of Power Engineering of the SEI USUCT of USUST, and Associate Professor of the Department of Materials Science;
- Vadym Zakiiev, Associate Professor of the Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Kyiv Aviation Institute;
- Nadiia Kovalova, Junior Research Fellow of the Department of Fuel, Polymer, and Printing Materials Technologies of the SEI USUCT of USUST.
As part of the exhibition programme and the Startup Competition, the researchers presented their own MedTech developments. Conference participants were introduced to a technology for manufacturing models and prototypes of personalized implants and bone structures using advanced additive manufacturing technologies, as well as to equipment designed to investigate the surface properties of these products. The presented developments represent a promising area of biomedical engineering and have potential applications in both civilian and military medicine. The greatest interest among conference participants was generated by solutions related to the development of personalized medical devices and advanced materials for patient rehabilitation and recovery.
In addition to presenting their own developments, the university representatives explored the latest technological solutions showcased by leading Ukrainian and international companies, startups, and research teams. Among the conference speakers were prominent experts in science, engineering, and innovation, including renowned American astrophysicist and NASA advisor Paul M. Sutter, Veronika Nikitina, a Launch Engineer at SpaceX, representatives of the Ukrainian IT company MacPaw, as well as leading researchers, executives of technology companies, medical institutions, and innovative startups. The conference provided a unique platform for exchanging expertise and establishing professional connections between the scientific community and the high-tech industry.
Participation in INSCIENCE CONFERENCE 2026 provided researchers from the SEI USUCT with an important opportunity to present the results of their research to a broad scientific and technological community, exchange expertise with colleagues, and establish new professional connections for future research and applied projects.
We sincerely thank the organizers of INSCIENCE CONFERENCE 2026 for creating a modern platform that promotes science, supports innovation, and fosters collaboration among researchers, industry, and society. Participation in events of this kind strengthens the position of university research and creates new opportunities for the implementation of promising technological innovations.
