On 4 June 2026, on the occasion of Chemist’s Day, a ceremonial award presentation for academic and research staff of higher education institutions in the region was held at the Department of Education and Science of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration. This year, 31 representatives of the scientific and educational community of the Dnipropetrovsk region received distinctions.

Among the award recipients were researchers from the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies.

The Certificates of Merit were presented by the Acting Director of the Department of Education and Science of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Kyrylo Ohdanskyi.

For their high level of professionalism, dedicated work, significant contribution to the development of education and science, and on the occasion of their professional holiday, the following staff members were awarded Certificates of Merit:

• Olena Hnatko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Materials Science;
• Mariia Zemelko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Technologies of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and Food Products;
• Oleh Kabat, Head of the Department of Innovative Engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor;
• Liliia Karmazina, Associate Professor of the Department of Philology and Translation, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor;
• Olha Kohtieva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biotechnology and Life Safety, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD);
• Mariia Rumiantseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Inorganic Substances Technology and Ecology, Candidate of Technical Sciences;
• Hanna Riabyk, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics and Law, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor;
• Ihor Yakymenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Technologies, Candidate of Chemical Sciences.

The recognition of SEI USUCT researchers at the regional level is a testament to the high appreciation of their teaching, scientific, and organizational achievements. The daily work of lecturers and researchers contributes to the training of highly qualified specialists, the advancement of scientific research, and the strengthening of the university’s reputation within Ukraine’s educational and scientific community.
