On February 26, 2026, in Dnipro, at the exhibition space of the Menorah Center, a large-scale career guidance event FUTURE DNIPRO took place — a platform that brought together students of grades 9–11, vocational education learners, higher education institutions, employers, as well as cultural and sports organizations.

The Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies presented its own scientific developments, educational opportunities, and interactive demonstrations at the location, reflecting the modern level of development of chemical technologies and related fields.

Guests of the event had the opportunity to ознакомиться with experimental samples and technological solutions in the following areas:

• chemical and food technologies;
• water treatment processes and ecology;
• energy saving and materials science;
• biotechnologies;
• mechanical engineering and automation.

School students not only observed the demonstrations but also participated in conducting experiments, gaining practical insight into the future profession of an engineer, technologist, or researcher.

Special attention was drawn to the presentation of the results of the 2025.07/0078 scientific project “Creation and modification of next-generation low-temperature eutectic solvents as liquid-phase functional materials”, implemented within the framework of the “Advanced Science in Ukraine 2026–2028” program with the support of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

Representatives of the leadership of the Educational and Scientific Institute USUCT and the authors of the project — professors Olha Sverdlikovska, Marharyta Skyba, Ihor Kovalenko, and senior researcher Olena Velychko — demonstrated innovative materials based on deep eutectic solvents that enable effective purification of water from contaminants.

This is an example of applied science that directly responds to modern environmental challenges and forms the foundation for sustainable development.

The Educational and Scientific Institute USUCT presented one of the widest lists of educational programs among chemical and technological institutions in Ukraine — from fundamental chemistry and ecology to biotechnology, pharmacy, computer science, mechanical engineering, energy, as well as related economic and management specialties.
