On February 20, 2026, the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and Dnipro Gymnasium No. 141 of the DMR signed a memorandum of cooperation, which launched the implementation of the educational project “GREEN-ED. Green Education of the Dnipro”. The Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” is actively involved in the implementation of the initiative.

The memorandum was signed on behalf of USUST by the rector of the university, professor Konstantyn Sukhyi, and the director of the SEI USUCT, professor Olga Sverdlikovska. The event was also attended by the executive secretary of the admissions committee of the SEI USUCT, Professor Margarita Skyba and representatives of the city’s educational community: Head of the Organizational Work Department of the General Secondary Education Department of the Humanitarian Policy Department of the Dnipro City Council Nataliya Serikova, Director of the Dnipro Gymnasium No. 141 Iryna Khomyak.

The project involves involving students in grades 9–11 in practical classes and laboratory work on the basis of the SEI USUCT in the areas of green chemistry, environmental safety and sustainable development.

As part of the cooperation, schoolchildren are already involved in applied research, in particular in water quality analysis and the development of environmental initiatives, working together with teachers and scientists of the institute.

The implementation of the project strengthens the role of the SEI USUCT USUST as an educational and scientific platform for the formation of environmentally conscious youth and deepening the interaction of the university with the city’s schools.
