SEI USUCT at Tech Unity: Clusters Forum – education, IT and new opportunities for students
On December 2, 2025, the team of the USUCT joined the first all-Ukrainian forum Tech Unity: Clusters Forum, which brought together almost three thousand participants from the educational sphere, IT clusters, technological business and state institutions in the Mystetsky Arsenal. For our students, postgraduates and teachers, it was an opportunity to see modern trends in the IT industry and understand where the Ukrainian techno-ecosystem is heading in the coming years.
From the SEI USUCT, the forum was attended by Olena Chorna, a senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Integrated Technologies and Robotics, as well as students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering.
The forum program covered several important areas at once – from AI and digital marketing to specialist training, cluster work, dual-use technologies, investments and business transformation. Participants attended thematic panels, keynotes, product demonstrations, and practical workshops, which were a good opportunity to compare university programs with current market needs.
Our team paid special attention to the educational tracks:
- new models of cooperation between universities and IT companies;
- training specialists for real product tasks;
- development of AI laboratories in universities;
- employers’ requirements for the competencies of young specialists.
Such discussions provide useful insights for updating training courses and expanding partnerships with business – something that SEI USUCT is always actively working on.
We would like to express our special gratitude to the Department of Information Systems of NNI USCTU, which has a valid cooperation agreement with Kharkiv IT Cluster. It was thanks to this partnership that our team had the opportunity to join the forum and feel part of the country’s large techno-community.
The forum gave many ideas for further development and confirmed: high-quality IT education today is primarily about cooperation, practicality, and openness to new technologies.
