Scientists of the NNI of USCTU participated in a working visit to China
From March 1 to 10, 2025, a delegation from the Scientific and Educational Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” USUST visited the People’s Republic of China on a working visit. The purpose of the trip was to discuss prospects for cooperation with Chinese scientific institutions, universities, and industries. The delegation included:
- First Vice-Rector of USUST , Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Anatoliy Radkevych;
- Vice-Rector of USUST , Head of the Department of Chemical Technologies of Ceramics, Glass and Biomedical Materials, member of the working group from the USUST National Research Institute for the international project UKRENERGY, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olexandr Zaychuk;
- Vice-Rector of USUST , Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies of Ceramics, Glass and Biomedical Materials Olga Ryzhova;
- Director of the Scientific Center for Innovative Materials and Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology of Inorganic Substances and Ecology Yulia Polishchuk;
- Head of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Honored Scientist and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Prof. Olexandr Velichenko;
- Head of the Department of Energy, member of the working group from the NNI of the UDCTU on the international project UKRENERGY, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor Stanislav Kovalev;
- Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology of Natural and Synthetic Polymers, Fats and Food Products, member of the working group from the NNI of the USUCT on the international project UKRENERGY Iryna Sukha;
- Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Technologies of Fuels, Polymeric and Printing Materials, member of the working group from the NNI of the USUCT on the international project UKRENERGY Oleg Kalinichenko;
- Postgraduate student, researcher of the Research Laboratory of Battery Systems and Energy Mykhailo Sukhyi.
Main points of the visit:
- Meetings with scientific institutions and universities:
- Scientists visited the TAIHULAB scientific laboratory, where research in the field of steel structures and pipe rolling was discussed.
- Negotiations were held with representatives of the World Graphene Development Fund regarding the use of graphene in construction, energy and other industries.
- A visit to Ji Chzing Polytechnic University, where scientists got acquainted with laboratories for obtaining hydrocarbons, water treatment and energy technologies.
- Innovations in energy and materials:
- The delegation visited the TangNeng Interactive Exhibition Center, where the latest technologies for the development of power sources, including hydrogen engines, are presented.
- A visit to Shaoxing University of Chemistry, which is known for its innovative achievements in chemical sciences, including the synthesis of ammonia with the participation of Nobel laureates.
- Cooperation in the field of IT and production:
- The scientists got acquainted with the work of the Flexible Electronic Technologies Laboratory at Tsinghua University, which cooperates with leading companies such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Samsung.
- A visit to the production of ceramic products for electronic devices, where they saw an impressive level of production automation.
- Signing of memorandums on cooperation:
- During the visit, several memorandums of cooperation were signed, in particular with Zhejiang Guangsha Construction Vocational and Technical University and other scientific institutions.
- The creation of a Ukrainian-Chinese scientific center was discussed for the implementation of joint projects in the field of chemical technologies, energy and new materials.
Results:
The working visit of the delegation of the SEI of the USUCT to China opened up new opportunities for international cooperation. The university’s scientists demonstrated a high level of professionalism, which contributed to the signing of agreements and the discussion of promising projects. The Chinese side expressed interest in further cooperation, in particular in the field of chemical technologies, energy and innovative materials.
