Schoolchildren from Dnipro study naphtha products in the laboratories of SEI USUCT
On February 27, 2026, another meeting with school students took place at the Educational and Scientific Institute “Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology” of USUST as part of the educational project “GREEN-ED. Green Education of Dnipro”.
This time, students of the Dnipro Gymnasium of the Dnipro City Council visited the university. For them, a practical class was organized in the laboratories of the Department of Fuel, Polymer and Printing Materials Technologies.
During the session, the students became acquainted with the main characteristics of petroleum products and the specifics of their processing. The participants worked with laboratory equipment, studied the physicochemical quality indicators of gasoline and diesel fuel, and, in the format of an interactive quest, learned to identify different types of fuel based on their properties.
The event combined theoretical knowledge with practical experience and gave students the opportunity to see how modern technologies operate in the energy and chemical industries. Special attention was paid to the rational use of resources and the development of environmental awareness, which are key components of the “GREEN-ED” project.
It is worth noting that such meetings within the initiative have already become systematic: previously, students were introduced to pharmaceutical technologies, chemical synthesis, and the operation of modern laboratories of USUST. This consistent career guidance work allows students to better understand the opportunities in natural sciences and make informed decisions about their future profession.
SEI USUCT remains open to cooperation with schools and continues to create conditions for engaging young people in science, innovation, and sustainable development.
