Residence
All foreign students are provided with dormitory accommodation. Student hostels are close to the main educational buildings of the University. Foreign students can be accommodated in 2 hostels equipped with all necessary accommodation. The room in the hostel is for two people and 12 square meters size. Each room has a bathroom, which includes a shower cabin, a wash basin and a toilet. If you wish, you can live in the room alone.
Students can also live in hotels of Dnipro city or rent a home independently.
Cost of living:
- in the hostel – 800 UAH per month (approximately $ 25 USD);
- in the hotel – $ 20-40 per night;
- private accommodation – from $ 200 per month.
Telephony and the Internet
There are free Internet access points (Wi-Fi) on the territory of the university buildings and dormitories.
In the hostels in each room there is a possibility of connecting to the wired (cable) Internet – the telephone of the company providing the service indicated on each floor.
The above mobile communication companies also provide 3G mobile high-speed services.
Kyivstar – the largest mobile operator in Ukraine works in the GSM standard. Its coverage provides about 99% of the territory of Ukraine. In addition to mobile telephony, the campaign provides 3G-Internet services for owners of tablets and smartphones. Transport
The Dnipro International Airport (http://dnk.aero) is a large regional airport in Ukraine that links Dnipro city with other cities and countries.
From Kiev to Dnipro it is convenient to get by train. There are morning and evening (night) trains. The University has a convenient transport connection in the city. The fare in the municipal transport (trolleybus, tram) is 8 hryvnias (UAN), in commercial vehicles (buses, minibuses) – 15 hryvnias (UAN).
Currency and payments
Currency: hryvnia (UAH). Currency exchange is carried out at the airport, banks, numerous exchange offices. For exchange operations, a passport is required. The exchange rate may differ from the official rate of the National Bank of Ukraine. The most popular currency is the USA dollar and the euro (EUR). Payment systems existing in Ukraine are: Visa, MasterCard. Their cards are served in stores, ATMs, hotels, cafes and restaurants.

ATMs and terminals for servicing payment cards are located in educational buildings of the University, banks and shops, adjacent to educational buildings and hostels of USUCT.
Medical Insurance for Foreign Students
On admission to the University, according to the order of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from 11.01.2013 number 1541,Some Issues of Admission and Training (Internship) Organization for Foreigners and Stateless Persons, medical insurance is obligatory (unless otherwise stipulated by international treaties of Ukraine).
You can arrange health insurance policy in any of the insurance companies in Ukraine, which provide these services.
If you have problems on this issue the representatives of the University or enterprise-contractors will provide the relevant information.
The cost of health insurance in different insurance companies is different, however, as a rule, is in the following ranges:
medical insurance policy for
- 3 months – about US $ 10;
- 6 months – about US $ 15;
- 9 months – about US $ 20;
- 12 months – about US $ 30.
