Participation of teachers of the SEI USUCT in the international meeting of the DIGISKILLS project in Romania
The Department of Inorganic Substances Technology and Ecology of SEI USUCT continues its active work within the framework of the international Erasmus+ project DIGISKILLS, aimed at developing digital skills in the water sector of higher education.
From March 23 to 27, 2026, the third project meeting was held in the cities of Galați and Sinaia (Romania), with the participation of representatives from universities across Europe. SEI USUCT, as part of the USUST delegation, was represented by the Head of the Department of ISTE, Professor Ihor Kovalenko, and Professor Roman Smotraiev.
During the meeting, participants worked on the implementation of digital tools in the educational process, research, and water resource management. Particular attention was paid to the practical application of modern digital solutions, including interactive working formats and the use of specialized software for collaborative decision-making.
The Department of ISTE активно implements the knowledge gained during international activities into the modernization of educational programs in the specialties E2 “Ecology” and G1 “Chemical Technologies and Engineering” with the professional focus “Technologies of Drinking Water and Industrial Water Treatment in the Production of Inorganic Substances”.
Participation in the DIGISKILLS project allows SEI USUCT not only to adopt European experience but also to develop its own approaches to the digitalization of education, strengthening the practical component of student training.
The lecturers of the Department of ISTE express their gratitude to colleagues from Universitatea «Dunărea de Jos» din Galați and personally to Professor Marian Barbu for organizing the meeting and ensuring comfortable conditions, as well as to all colleagues for their cooperation!
