On April 24, 2025, the opening of the Student Press Center took place at the Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law of the SEI USUCT – a new space for creative growth, professional development and communication activity of young people.

Press Center is more than just a media platform. This is a place where students will be able not only to cover the most interesting events of university life, but also to learn journalism in practice: create news, conduct interviews, conduct video blogs, edit stories, build a communication strategy. The center’s team is already preparing content about science, culture, sports, student initiatives and social topics.

The project was created for those who seek to realize themselves in journalism, PR or media. The Press Center will function as an internal student media resource and will work on the principles of teamwork, creativity and a modern approach to presenting information.

The grand opening of the Press Center took place in the format of a press conference. Students had the opportunity to talk to media professionals, ask questions, and discuss the challenges of modern journalism.

The event was attended by:
– Rector of UDUNT Konstantyn Sukhyi,
– Vice-Rectors Olexandr Zaychuk and Olga Ryzhova,
– Acting Director of the National Institute of Journalism of UDUHT Olga Sverdlikovska,
– Teachers and students of the Faculty of Journalism.

Among the honored guests were representatives of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine and the media industry:
– Olexiy Kovalchuk, Chairman of the Board of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Organization of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine,
– Ihor Rodionov, journalist, writer, producer, and TV presenter,
– Vladyslav Avdienko, journalist of Channel 11,
and other invited guests.

The opening of the Press Center was an important step towards forming a media-literate, active student environment open to communication, exchange of ideas, and dissemination of truthful information.
