On May 24, 2025, a bright celebration of Open Chem Day to Chemist’s Day and the 95th anniversary of our university was held on the Fountain Square of the Ukrainian State University of Chemical Technology (USUCT).

The celebration began with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine and congratulatory words. The rector of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology Konstantyn Sukhyi, the director of the USUCT SEI Olga Sverdlikovska and the deputy director Yaroslav Kozlov addressed the audience. They emphasized that despite difficult times, ChemTech continues to develop, preserve scientific traditions and prepare the younger generation for the challenges of modernity.

A special place in the program was occupied by the meeting of graduates of different years – many of them returned to their native walls to remember their student years and congratulate the Alma Mater on its anniversary.

The artistic atmosphere was created by the university students. Student Mariya Verbytska performed a song that set the emotional tone for the whole day. Later, the guests were delighted with an incendiary dance in the jazz style and a gentle waltz, as a symbol of student romance and unity of generations.

The audience enthusiastically received the virtual presentation of the conditions of the Entrance-2025, which was conducted by the virtual presenter – AI assistant Tekhna. In the video format, she introduced the guests to the advantages of studying at the SEI USUCT.

The culmination was the scientific and entertainment part – chemical show, which proved that science can be spectacular, interesting and emotional.

After that, the applicants got acquainted with the faculties:

• Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (CS and I) – here they train future developers, engineers and technical analysts.
• Faculty of Economics, Humanities and Law (EGP) – a center for future economists, lawyers, and communication specialists.
• Faculty of Food and Chemical Technologies (X and XT) – a place where new recipes, food technologies and developments for a healthy lifestyle are created.
• Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (F and BT) – a space for training specialists who work at the intersection of biology, chemistry and medicine.

As part of the celebration, applicants took part in an interactive quest with thematic tasks from the faculties, and graduates visited the Museum of History of UDCTU. After completing the quest, the participants were awarded by the director of the institute Olga Sverdlikovska.

Open Chem Day became an event that combined the past and the future, science and creativity, applicants, students and graduates. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined the holiday – those who are just planning to become part of our family, and those who have already written their name in the history of ChemTech.
