On May 12, 2025, students and teachers of the SEI USUCT USUST gathered in the hall of the main building to honor the dearest people in the world – mothers. This special holiday, which is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May, reminds us of the boundless love, care and support that mothers give us.

At the opening of the event, the acting director of SEI USUCT, Professor Olga Sverdlikovska addressed the audience. She emphasized the importance of family values ​​and thanked the students for the initiative to organize such a touching holiday. Deputy Director, Associate Professor Yaroslav Kozlov also expressed words of support and warm wishes to mothers.

The event program included interactive activities “What one word do you associate with your mother?” and “Mom’s phrases”, which made everyone think about how important simple, but such sincere and dear words are. Student Mariya Verbytska performed the song “My dear mother” based on the poems of Andriy Malyshko, which deeply moved everyone present. The bright dance number “Jazz” charged the audience with energy and good mood.

The event ended with the action “Gratitude Tree,”, where everyone could write a short wish for their mother on a paper symbolic heart and attach it to an improvised tree.

Mother’s Day at the SEI USUCT once again reminded us of the importance of family ties, the power of warm words and simple hugs that always unite people. Thank you to the student council for organizing a sincere and warm holiday!
