Meeting of USUST Representatives with Students of the Technological Professional College of DDTU
On March 26, 2026, a meeting between representatives of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology and final-year pharmacy students took place at the Technological Professional College of DDTU (Kamianske).
USUST was represented by Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacy, Chemistry, and Technologies Ihor Yakymenko and a representative of the university’s Admissions Committee, Associate Professor Serhii Zybailo.
Despite frequent air raid alerts that day, the meeting was not canceled and continued in the college shelter. This format added openness and cohesion to the discussion and once again highlighted the resilience of Ukrainian education under current conditions.
The main purpose of the meeting was to support students in determining their further professional path and to introduce them to opportunities for obtaining higher education at USUST. Participants discussed prospects for development in the pharmaceutical field and practical steps for building a career.
Ihor Yakymenko spoke about the specifics of studying under modern educational programs “Pharmacy” and “Chemical Technologies of Medicines and Medical Devices”. Students learned about the work of scientific laboratories, research areas in pharmaceutical chemistry, and the opportunity to enroll in a master’s program with a shortened period of study.
Serhii Zybailo provided detailed information on the admission conditions for 2026, specifics of the NMT, opportunities for admission based on a Professional Junior Bachelor’s diploma, and accommodation conditions in university dormitories.
Special attention during the meeting was paid to the demand for pharmacy specialists in the modern labor market — from pharmacy chains to large pharmaceutical enterprises.
The meeting was held in a live dialogue format: students actively asked questions about practical training, international opportunities, and student life at USUST. For many, this became an important step in deciding on further education.
We sincerely thank the administration of the Technological Professional College of DDTU and the Head of the Cycle Commission Iryna Yuriiivna Tarasova for their assistance in organizing the meeting.
