Meeting of teachers of the SEI USUCT with students of the National Educational Service No. 136 of the DMR on the topic Professions
On May 7, 2026, lecturers of the Department of Fuel, Polymer and Printing Materials Technologies of the SEI USUCT of USUST held an educational meeting for 9th- and 11th-grade students of the Municipal Educational Institution “Educational Association No. 136” of the Dnipro City Council on the topic “Professions”.
As part of the event, Associate Professors of the department Vitalii Holovenko, Oleg Kalinichenko, and Kateryna Roienko introduced the school students to modern trends in the development of technological industries and opportunities for professional realization in this field. Special attention was paid to practical aspects — the participants were presented with a series of interesting demonstration experiments devoted to the determination of operational properties of fuels and assessment of petroleum product quality. This topic is currently especially relevant, as issues of fuel quality, efficiency, and cost concern every consumer today and are of great importance for the development of the energy and transport sectors.
The students not only watched the experiments with great interest, but also actively participated in carrying them out, asked questions, and tested certain fuel quality indicators themselves. This format allowed them to better understand the practical significance of such research and the relevance of technical specialties.
During the meeting, the department’s educational programs were also presented, along with an overview of study opportunities and modern professions that are in demand on the labor market. Eleventh-grade students were provided with explanations regarding the specifics of the admission campaign, application procedures, and further career opportunities.
The SEI USUCT expresses its gratitude to the administration of the Municipal Educational Institution “Educational Association No. 136” of the Dnipro City Council for their cooperation and support of career guidance initiatives!
